Some help with แค่นี้ / แค่นี้ก่อน

A girl I am talking with likes to say แค่นี้ when the conversation has run its cause. Sometimes she will say แค่นี้ก่อน.

I don’t understand if this is a question (“is that it?”) or statement (“that was it”).

Can someone elaborate a little on these two phrases? Also what adding the ก่อน means. I.e. if that is just a “for now” sort of thing.

It means "okay, we're done" or "that's all for now" - or similar meaning to that.  It's probably a statement (pre-cursor to goodbye) and not a question.

In my experience Thai's tend to say what they want to say and then just hang-up - "goodbye" or "thanks for calling" rarely happen, I've been here years and this one still gets me, but it isn't rude to them.
