August 2023.   I’m staying here for a few days so thought I may as well do a review to add to the knowledge base.

Having been here a few times pre -COVID, it’s good to see they made the most of some down time with a fresh lick of paint and a tidy up.   It was getting a bit tired.   Same old building but particularly the foyer area now looks great.

The rooms surround a central courtyard with windows facing out   Mine on the 5th at least has a view, others may not be so lucky

The rooms themselves are big.  King bed in mine and plenty of hanging space

Bathroom is adequate.  There are no signs saying don’t flush paper but the toilets are those gravity whirlpool ones that need a long button push to work properly.   The shower is a hand held job but no adjustment of angle when fixed to the wall.  Stand back and get the heat right.

On the 5th is breakfast and a view.   A nice place to relax and watch the boats in the bay.

they also have parrots

On the roof (7th) is the pool and another view point.   Pool is fine but warm.   Full exposure to the sun sees it at a balmy 26c plus.

Check in was fast.  They take a 1000bt deposit and make you sign a rules list which comes across as a bit oppressive but Hey Ho, nothing too serious.   There is another rule list in the room so I suspect they have been burned in the past

Tea and coffee and water daily.  Towels for the pool at reception.  Easy walk to Walking Street and the baht bus both ways.  There is a 7/11 just out the door.    No complaints so far.

Guest friendly, they have to sign in and more than one seems to attract an amenity fee

My room rate was AUD63 per night.   Do your research for your own dates.

Hope this helps some folk.

I’ve had my stint there and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Checkout was streamlined.  My pool towel ticket and room deposit receipt were attached neatly to my file.  Seamless.

Staff always friendly.  The doorman is great.
