Learn Thai with the Red Shirts

Just thought I'd post up some of the phrases, chants etc that I have heard in the news / video coverage from watching the recent Red Shirt protests in Patts and BBKs.

 

Hope you find it interesting anyway:

 

Phrases (from both red shirts and those opposing them):

 

‘oo_k\ bpay = get out!’

oo_k\ bpay lee_y= get out at once

mii dtaa_\ kon daa\ = have only people curse

aw! Chon gan laa_w! = Oh! They crashed to each other already!

bpay lee_y= Go at once!

 

‘dtam ruad\ ma_ng^ goo_tamaray may daay^ lee_y = the police can’t do anything

kaw^ maa lee_y = come in at once!

bpay\ lee_y = GO!

yiam^ maak^= excellent

aw lee_y! = do it!

yaa\ bpay yoo_m man = don’t allow them to win

sua_^ daa_ng = red shirt

 

Hope this all dies down soon as Thailands rep is going through the mill at the moment.
