2018-2020 Property law changes regarding return of deposit

Does anyone have any experience regarding the Thai property law changes a few years ago?

I got stiffed for a big amount a couple of weeks back after giving almost two months notice with reasonable cause. I don't want to give the location yet but I know this guy is renting more than five condos yet he claims he does it through a business that makes these laws non-applicable to him. The guy is a farang not a Thai if that makes any difference.

It is quite likely he doesn't declare it with the tax office. You could consider contacting them and they might hit him in the pocket for undeclared income.
