Flights from the East coast of the USA

Anybody had any recent experience finding a decent price for tickets to BKK from anywhere on the East coast? In the last few years I've flown out of Richmond VA, or Philadelphia PA. Recently, economy tickets are running in the $2,800 neighborhood. I know Covid messed with prices but these prices are getting crazy.

Fares to Thailand vary quite a bit; high-, mid- or low-season and by other variables inc routing, day of week ...

You can find flights to Bangkok from Richmond or Philadelphia for much cheaper than $2,800 by using travel websites like Expedia and Cheapflights. On Expedia, you can book one-way or return flights from Richmond to Bangkok with no change fee on selected flights. Cheapflights provides information on the cheapest flights from Richmond to Bangkok

Flight prices start going down around end of August. Book at least 2 months in advance. PHL-BKK has prices around $1700. You can fly out of New york city for around $1200. It would be worth it to fly from PHL or Richmond to JFK.

I fly out of CLT, Premium Economy for around $2000. Short notice and summer time flying jacks prices up.

I have a good buddy who flies out of CLT and it's an exercise in frustration to get a reasonable priced ticket

Yeah, I think the best deal I ever got was around $1600. Now I just plan on $2000, give or take a couple hundred. That's Prem. Economy.
