I wanna make my way to Phuket, Koh Samui to be a beach bum for a month. Is there smoking allowed in the sleeper train to Surat Thani? I really don't wanna be trapped in a train for 12 hours with no cigs.

Smoking is prohibited on all trains and at railway stations in Thailand, including sleeper trains to Surat Thani. The law bans smoking on platforms and trains, as well as the sale of cigarettes on trains, with a maximum penalty of 5,000 baht. While it is true that some passengers may smoke in-between carriages, this is technically illegal, and travelers should refrain from doing so. It is important to respect the laws and regulations of the country and prioritize the safety and comfort of all passengers.
