Superintendent not so super now

The superintendent of Pattaya police station, Pol Col Sarayuth Sa-nguanpokai, was on Wednesday transferred to Provincial Police Region 2 headquarters for 30 days after Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva's car was attacked as he was leaving Pattaya on Tuesday.

 

The deputy Commander of Chonburi Provincial Police becomes acting superintendent of Pattaya.

 

Red-shirt protesters smashed the back window of Mr Abhisit's Land Cruiser and blocked its passage after he left a cabinet meeting in Pattaya. One of the accused assailants, Wanchalerm Kulsen, escaped from Pattaya City police station shortly after being arrested.

the Superintendent obviously does not have the correct family connections. I would imagine his immediate superior DOES have the connections and said he will take care of this situation.

 

Someone has to take the fall for 'losing face' in all these politically embarrassing situations (this rule applies to almost all governments worldwide)
