Amethyst or Blackwoods

Can get either of these for 1700 baht a night.  Both look fantastic . Which do you think is better

I have only stayed at the Blackwood and that was for one night in December 2021 when travel started back to Thailand.

I would stay there again, but not the location for me as I spend most of my time in the LK Metro area.

There has been a good review on the Amethyst by @LOTTELLEE WINNAand looks like at that price, and nice place to stay. 

I would pick the Amethyst over the Blackwood only because of location.

One consideration that would come to my mind would be noise level. I'm a light sleeper. Blackwoods during Covid was outstanding since all the surrounding bars were closed. I'm unsure how much nighttime noise filters into Blackwoods now. 

Amethyst is not close, so far as I know, to any loud party bars, so should be quieter. 

Blackwoods is on the Second Road / Beach Road baht bus route. Amethyst is on the Soi Buakhao baht bus route. Where do you like to hang out? 

While I don't have direct experience with Amethyst yet, I don't think a person could go wrong with either of them.
