Memorable uniform numbers

This topic is aimed mostly at fans of US sports, where each player has a number on his/her uniform.

As a New York kid in the ‘50s, my earliest number associations were Babe Ruth #3, Lou Gehrig #4, Joe DiMaggio #5;  all retired before I was born.  My childhood heroes were Mickey Mantle #7, Yogi Berra #8, Roger Maris #9, Whitey Ford #16, Johnny Blanchard #38.

Football heroes were Frank Gifford #16, Y.A. Tittle #14, Sam Huff #60, Del Shofner #85.

Jim Brown #32, Larry Bird #44, Hank Aaron #44, Aaron Judge #99, Tom Brady #12, Stephen Curry #30, Paul Hornung #5, Chuck Bednarik #60, Magic Johnson #32, Joe Montana #16, Jerry Rice #80, John Taylor #81, Lawrence Taylor #56, Willie Mays #24....

Who am I forgetting?  Whose uniform numbers do you remember?

Ya left out a lot of the Yanks starting lineup in '61.

Howard - 32, Skowron - 14, Richardson - 1, Kubek - 10, Boyer - 6, Lopez - 11.

(I admit I'd forgotten Kubek's number and looked it up )

But to hell with that Brady guy. #12 was Namath.
