alternative bus lines to Roong Reuang

Yes, the government bus company is cheap, frequent and reliable. It is also reasonably comfortable. But for me anyway it is often full, the kiosk seller of tickets gives perfunctory customer service, and most important to me, it makes no stops.

Usually I like the last point. This trip I don't.

Firstly, does a bus route map exist? I want to get off part way, probably impossible though because I will have luggage.  Highway 7, 34, 3 - it's a mystery to me. Over time I believe the route has changed periodically.

Secondly, is there a milk run bus that stops in either Suan Luang, Bagna or in any case *before* Ekamai Station? 

Heck, since I will be going to Home Depot area of Suang Luang Ekamai might still be the best destination.

But I keep hearing about trains and minivans and elephants. Why be normal?

The bus from North Pattaya will stop at Mega Bang Na, and the Udom Suk and Bang Chak BTS stations. Caveat, you cannot have luggage underneath, it is only what you have carried on. Buy two tickets side by side and you can have two seats. Wear headphones as there is always someone who is talking loud or on their phone.
