Somerset Pattaya review

Quick review of the Somerset which is brand new and is situated in a convenient location opposite Central Festival mall.  Caveats are a) the pool area is not so great (except for the view), b) the gym which is so small I didn’t even bother, and c) there is no restaurant yet because it isn’t finished.  Property is rated at 4.5 stars. I stayed for one week and then extended.  Accommodation was a one-bed apartment on a high floor and it was very quiet and the bed was perfectly OK.  All staff were very polite and friendly.  No problems with wifi and there were big TVs in both living room and bedroom.  No issues with bringing in one guest (I don’t know if there would be issues bringing in multiple guests at the same time, because I didn’t try).  If anybody is interested there was a guy who reviewed the hotel on youtube - I won’t post the link, but it should be easy to find.

@LOTTELLEE WINNA I just did a quick conversion and it looks like the rate was around 5500 baht per night during the festive period, but there were even higher rates for the specific nights at Xmas and New Year - around 8000 per night. That excludes taxes, which appear to be around 16 per cent (maths is not my strong point!).
