Hotel Intimate/Bayview

So because I couldn't figure out where to stay I booked multiple hotels. I also thought it would work better because I wasn't sure the length of stay and so if I booked hotels one week at a time I could always cancel the later bookings.

Anyway, today I moved from hotel Intimate to hotel Bayview. Also, I should say my choice of hotels was also based on what was a good price at the time of booking. I'm pretty sure I'm paying $40 a night at each hotel.

I definitely prefer Intimate I have to say. Though there is no breakfast and Bayview is definitely a fancier hotel. Intimate has an amazing pool on the roof that I just love. And the rooms are larger. It also feels more in tune with why we're here. Bayview is a little higher end, and there are kids in the entry area. It feels like a family hotel. It's very close to the beach.

Anyway, if you're deciding where to stay, I really recommend hotel Intimate. It's definitely the right vibe.

ALSO (now that I've been here a couple of hours) there are lots of kids in the pool, which is the center of the hotel, unlike the Intimate, where the pool was on the roof. I mean, I like kids, but it's just a weird vibe. I feel like I'm in a Disney hotel. The Intimate also had enormous bathtubs in your room, like, obviously meant for two people. Bayview does not.

Bayview has nicer fixtures. The king bed is an actual king, as opposed to two twins pushed together. But trust me, you want to stay at hotel Intimate, based on my experience here so far.

More on Bayview. It's steps to the beach, which is nice. Close to the Central mall, which has a good English language bookstore. The breakfast is outstanding, but way overpriced. It cost 450 baht. I'm warming up to the place maybe, but I still miss that rooftop pool at hotel Intimate.
