Residence Garden

Residence Garden was the first place I stayed in Pattaya many years ago, a bit of a shit location if you want to be in the heart of the action but I suppose good if you move between Jomtien and Pattaya, it has a nice pool and the rooms were big with seperate bedroom and nice large balcony. I know one of the old forums had a promotion with them for a discount, hence lots of mongers used to stay there (may have been the old "Pattaya Talk" forums). Your post is the first I've heard it mentioned in years though so not sure what's happening with it now

I often stayed at Residence Garden, yes a bit out of the action but liked the place. Sadly it looks as though it’s partly closed down now and there is a rumour it’s up for sale. Think I will be staying at Page 10 as I like the look of the place.

Thanks for the update. I’m out of town so thanks for confirming. Shame really as it was a family owned place. If you get chance to post a pic of how it looks now I’d appreciate but don’t go specially.

The Residence Garden is still taking reservations, although the restaurant and maybe one of the buildings is closed at the moment.  I have been staying here for close to 20 years and is still my favorite Pattaya hotel.    I stayed last year under similar circumstances and although it was strange being one of the only guests, it was kind of nice not having a full hotel.

Hi John, I messaged them and I believe you are correct and it is only the building at the back taking reservations.

I believe however the hotel is currently up for sale although I don’t know if that is just the front building or both buildings?

I have always liked the staff, the one bedroom suites, the stove top, the pool, and the location is actually not that bad. I am surprised that they are not bouncing back better than they have.  But things change.

Maybe we might be the only two or three guests there like last year, other than the guy that has lived there for the last 20 years.
