Voice mail when in Thai

Recommended Posts

Stupid question, however, I will ask it. I am using Vodafone Ireland for my mobile. I intend on having my phone off while I am in Thai. I will switch it on for online bank verification stuff. When I switch it on and it picks up the Thai network, I switch it back off. If someone were to ring my phone, it goes to the answering machine whilst it is off. Will they get any Thai voice messages that they will know I am in Thailand?

No...set up your VM with your recording...this is what a person calling will hear when you don't pick up.  I don't know how Vodafone will charge you but my T-mobile account will hit me with a phone coming charge for voice mail...it's cheap for me, but check with your phone provider.
