Birding spots around town?

Is there any birding spots (the animal kind) around town?
Maybe some of the lakes have a birding tower.

I don’t expect there to be a birding tower, but you might be able to spot some birds around Map Phrachan Lake, a big lake area.

If you go down to Silver Lining in the evening on dusk you can see and hear the falcons taking bats on the wing in the tall trees along the beach and in front of the condos there. It's brutal - the bats squealing is loud and eerie, it doesn't last more than 5-10 seconds. It continues into the early night, but once fully dark you can only hear them. 

I'm guessing they are falcons or bat hawks. To find Silver Lining you go to Wong Amat (Naklua Soi 16) and it's in front of Zire Condo (which is in Between Northpoint and Sky Beach condos).
