Jomtien - Cafe Blu

Cafe Blu opened about 6 months ago. I only recently heard about it.

The restaurant is located in the Arcadia Beach Resort, which is very near Cafe des Amis. You can drive into the resort and park in a covered garage and take an easily accessible elevator to the 2nd floor. The restaurant is owned/operated by the same person (Blu) who owns/operates Cafe des Amis. The restaurant does have what I consider to be a very deep menu for a casual restaurant.

There are big differences between Cafe des Amis and Cafe Blu. Cafe Blu is a casual bar/restaurant with many items on the menu being around 300 THB. There is also a common thread between the two restaurants. The table settings, food, service, and overhead music are very well done. It is a very pleasant place to have a lighter dinner at a lower cost. The GF and I both really liked it.

Highly recommended to say the least. They had a very slow night this evening and I hear that is the norm at this point. I would categorize it as having a similar target menu and price range as Sandbar, Cafe Sands, and Peaky Blinders. Of the 4 I think that Cafe Blu is in the running for the best quality of ambiance, service, and food.

I had a Bacon Cheeseburger and Fries. Very nicely done and the fries were properly lightly salted.

The GF had Pad Thai. She thought it was good and she normally does not like what she calls "Farang Thai Food". I tasted a bit and I thought it was very good.

Just to add: been there a few times and really enjoyed their service staff. The negative for me is that you enter the place via the garage and you have to find your way between parked cars to the elevator.

Nevertheless, I enjoyed my meals and will be back.

I guess that I lead a charmed life. As I pulled into the garage the first parking space that I saw was directly in front of the elevator. 

Also, I do not know when was the last time that you were there, but there were several signs clearly marking the location of the restaurant, including a few tabs on the elevator buttons.

Still, I can appreciate what you are saying, in that before I spotted the elevator parking spot the garage looked a little formidable to navigate. Took me about 4 maneuvers to back out of the close to the elevator spot due to getting sandwiched in-between 2 oversized SVUs. Why does anyone need a vehicle that size in Bang Lamung?

This place looks interesting ! Will check it out soon. The GF and I need to find more good indoor dining options during rainy season. ( By the way, it’s closed on Mondays, which is common of course.)

I do not know. I think you mean apps like Grab etc.
