any recent review about this hotel? I have been there many times in the past, still guest friendly or something changed after covid?

I haven't been there since Covid but I've stayed at Blue Sky many times and plan on staying there again on my next trip this summer and I can't imagine them no longer being guest friendly.  Most of the Blue Sky's patrons are single male travelers and a change of guest policy would greatly affect their business.  That said, you can always send them an email asking about the current guest policy.

I have been there last august, guest friendly confirmed. I have sent them many emails before going but no answers

Good to hear that they are still guest friendly.  I plan on staying there for my upcoming trip in june.

Did they ever open the gym back up or is it still closed?

I've booked 3 night at this hotel to enjoy the access to Soi 6 in october. Hopefully the few reviews I've read about the hard beds are not true.

Was thinking of booking this hotel in June, anyone stay here recently?

Some decent room rates on Agoda with breakfast at weekends. Ideally located for Soi 6.

Stayed here last October 2023 for 3 days best bang for ur buck.  Paid about $21USD via Agoda (thats right so cheap)

Clean good staff large room, quiet 4 pillows and the bed wasn't that hard IMO.

Downside non smart tv and average but usable internet close to Soi 6 but not much else food option more limited

Currently staying here (Nov24) and couldn’t be happier

Location is great if you’re a fan of Soi 6 or the baht bus at both ends.  It’s on the north side of Soi5 and the hotel goes South to North from the street. If there wasn’t another building in the way I could see the sea from my balcony.  As it is there is plenty of light and fresh air.

Im on the 7th floor and cannot hear any noise at all from the streets.  Soi 5 is a “dark Soi” and the hotel is in the middle.  No sign of viscous dogs  or ladyboys so all good to stagger home to in the wee hours.

The sign to look out for in your taxi.  On your left as you drive up from the beach

I have 3 more nights here so will update with a final review here.   I will say the staff are great.  The cleaning lady is full of fun and watches your door to tell you it’s all done when you return

IMG_1011.jpeg

I’ll also note the hotel is wheelchair friendly with little lifts from the street and to the pool

Well, I checked out yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
All the staff, cleaners, reception, restaurant are great and always smiling.

I didn’t notice the little bar right down the end of the restaurant until the last day but I guess it’s handy if you can’t make it to one of the other 17345 bars in Pattaya

One thing did bother me a little but not to prevent a stay in future was room security

It’s the old fashioned key thing on an enormous tag .  You have to manually lock your door as you leave and then pretty much hand in your key to reception due to its size.  No checks getting your key back    Maybe they have a sophisticated facial recognition system by no, even people I hadn’t seen before happily handed me the key I asked for

Contrast to my new hotel on Honey with credit card keys that fit your wallet  and doors that lock automatically .

Id return but wouldn’t recommend for my daughter for instance because of the security lack

does now the "disco noise" problem fixed?

hotels in this area have a problem in just begin from last year? at the second road end of the soi 5, there are a disco building, just beside the "Runway nightmarket". yes this disco is already here for a long time, but from last year the disco changed owner, and then it turned to a real problem of big big noise from midnight until 4am.

i stay hotels in soi 5 for long time before, and i am also a big fan of stay soi 5 hotels for long time. as i remember even in jun or july of 2023 it still no noise problem. but then after it change owner their noise become unacceptable, i even cannot stay at any room that is faced to the second road side, must change room (face to beach side or face to north side no problem).

then i start to avoid stay soi 5 just because this disco -- because i can't guarantee that the hotel can arrange a room that doesn't face that side every time.

Wow, it’s over 100 metres away and partly behind a tall building.  Must be loud indeed.  No noise on the beach side at all.

it REALLY LOUD in Jan 2024 when i stay at soi 5 Season Five hotel, my favorite room faced to the 2nd road alcazar. i always stay there and no issue at all, until this disco changed boss and turn the volume to the horrible level. i must ask to change room and hotel staff completely understand, don’t argue a word, because they know this noise problem enough. they said that problem begin a few months already.

so i guess in the opposite side blue sky hotel, some room also faced to 2nd road maybe have noise too, but at lease BMs in this thread no one mention this out, maybe the disco noise problem "fixed" or just no problem at blue sky? im not sure.

btw in Sep one night i walk by 2nd road around there, at i think around 12-1am, it seems the disco noise is reduced a lot. don't know does it really "fixed" forever or not

serious noise issue in the green line side rooms at season five hotel, so i think blue sky may affected too.  btw, there are a few beer bars on the soi corner (2nd road x soi 5), but they never have any noise problem

Thanks to everyone who already contributed to this thread. I'm staying at this hotel for 3 nights in April. Does anyone have any recommendations for things to do/ places to go other than Soi 6 around this area? I'm far more used to things around Areca Lodge (where I am staying the rest of the trip). Also following up on the noise issue, should I ask the hotel to book my room facing the beach in order to make sure I don't have any noise? Thanks.

All of the Blue Sky rooms face beach Rd so the noise shouldn't be an issue.  That said, other than Soi 6 there's not much on that end of Beach Road.  There used to be drinking street and a few bars on second road that are close by but I've never seen anything worth stopping for.  There are a couple of nice restaurants nearby like Gullivers between soi 1 and soi 2 on Beach Road.  The TG's like it because the thai food is good and the western food is good as well.  And if you're a Soi 6 guy the Blue Sky location can't be beat.  Just walk one block over.

+1 to the above post

there are a few beer bars on soi3 with a few ok girls (transient) and pool tables.  on second road end there are some nice restaurants.    The lady boy shows are at that end too.  Also a huge soapy place.

On beach road are some good outdoor dining spots.
