Nap inn is nice but be prepared to go up 5 or 6 flights of steap stairs if end up with a room near the top.

napp inn is a bit of a dive in my opinion but cheap and cheerful for the location

I always stay at the Dynisty hotel soi 4 ( about 1200 baht night ) but really nice n clean

seanie is right about the stairs. I've always been lucky enough to get a room on level 1 though.

 

lots to do? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nana_Plaza or if thats too intense for you, there are plenty of bars/pubs on soi 4.

The crown hotel sukhumvit road on soi 7 is a good budget place about 1100 baht a night, guest friendly and within walking distance of both soi cowboy and the nana plaza, good luck with your search

I'll second this choice, although I have stayed at others. Very well run establishment, just around the corner from Nana and a 10 minute walk to Cowboy. Great staff - very professionally run hotel.
