LOL - me and a mate did the same in my youth, though only two road signs and not to sell, it just seemed like a good idea in our drunken state at the time. Earned us a day in court and the Wrath of our military employer - despite the our military base bar being decorated with stolen signs from all over the UK!

Almost 40 years later thinking this long since passed minor misdemeanor was time expired I was surprised to find it came up for consideration when applying for a police report as part of a retirement visa application in the Far East
