Very sad news.

What a beautiful and smart person.  RIP

I am not sure it would have mattered in this case due to the high speed, however, it goes to show your head must be on a swivel at all times while crossing the roads in or out of a crosswalk.

Not only in Thailand but anywhere in the world.

I'm guessing that the cop knows the score. If a cop runs then that is probably what I should do if ever need arises. I understand any Thai leaving the scene of an accident, a reaction that seems approved and probably expect by BIB. I may read more into this police mans actions than intended.

I think that there is a (little known?) law which states that ALL motorcycles should stay in the left (near side) lane.

Cost me 200 Baht in Bangkok once.
