This is a better outcome then across the board closures/ banning of booze sales.

It would be sad if its just an initial measure - lets hope not.

Life must be lived forward, but can only be understood backwards.

Yeah I think it's pretty fair. Depends on how long they get shutdown if any test positive though.

A 2 day order without any previous warning? How can they expect businesses to comply, or even to know about it unless the BiB talks to every single bar/restaurant in town before they open up today?

Sounds pretty silly to me.

More important is what happens to a customer if they test positive?

Call ambulance and off to isolation for 10 days.....cost USD 2000 and customer pays, right??

How on earth do you imagine that could be enforced?

No. It's an entry thing to certain venues. If you get a positive, go home.

The order is more about places testing staff.

Depends on where you go.  Small places: only staff get tested.  Big places with over 100 customers: customers get tested too.

Right. That's what I meant by certain venues. But do you think they have capacity to be ready to cart any positive off for quarantine? Really can't see that.

Can they force you to get tested? If I am in a bar and this happens I will pay my bin and politely decline the test and leave.

Check Pattaya News. A newer order has changed it to:

"All customers, regardless of the size of the venue and regardless of the customer’s vaccination or recovery status, must take a Covid-19 antigen test ..."

Holy fuck! Interesting to see how this is gonna "work".

I think more like how the fuck is this going to be enforced? To me it seems the Governor is putting the onus onto businesses to enforce an order which many may be hesitant to take on. In turn without the ability to test, they may choose to not operate, that then appears to be a pseudo kind of lock down.

“Here’s what you need to do, if you can’t do it, then you can’t operate, if you operate and don’t do what’s required we’ll punish you”

What came first, the chicken or the egg?
