Bangkok's great Transportation options None better

The Transportation options in Bangkok are really first class second to none. I have spent alot of time in Bangkok doing alot of exploring
I really like Bangkok and a big reason is the fantastic transportation options thay have there. There is really no place you would need to get to that one of the transportation
options could not get you to. 

BTS and MRT (Skytrain and Subway)

It can connect you with all the other modes of transport you would need. You get to the Airport both train stations fast and easy and cheap comfortable and fast.

Trains are also very easy to access and can take you most anywhere in Thailand. The old station is closing soon but the new Bang Sue station is right on the Subway (MRT) route the stations are connected so simple

The Canal boats are something that if you have not tried you should they travel the canals through Bangkok with stops at piers in many of the popular shopping areas. Very cheap on these boats as well

The New Bangkok van terminal has mini van service from Bangkok to hundreds of locations Hua Hin, Kanchanaburi, to name a couple. This terminal is across from the government bus station which is where you can get a big bus to anywhere in Thailand. To get here there is no direct mode of transportation but taking a MRT or BTS ride to the Mochit station then when you exit the station at Mochit there are big Signs and Moto drivers that will take you from there to the Big bus terminal or the Mini van terminal for 60 baht.

 

Even the old street level buses are easy to use as they have route maps and location listings in english and they point out the areas of interest so easy but hot and not comfortable but very cheap.

I like Bangkok for a few days every few weeks and the ease of getting around is one of the reasons

I used to spend time each trip with a friend who lived out at Bangkapi, getting a boat down the Klong into somewhere like Asoke during the day was a lot of fun and very cool / refreshing way to travel.
