Anyone got the goss on Hua Hin these days?

Dead or alive?

How is the nightlife there at the moment?

I might spend a few days there next week cos I've never been there.

I have a friend who is presently there. He sent me a message yesterday and said all bars on Soi 80 are open!

I had two weeks with a gf at Hilton Hua Hin.

Beautiful one bedroom suite with a big balcony facing the water.

Really good service, breakfast & restaurants.

A weird thing though was the pool was painfully cold!  So cold it was a real struggle to go in.

Hua Hin was a nice place to chill with great seafood, particularly the seafood on the pier, and good markets.

I don't recommend it for punting. Very few attractive girls in the bars

Good place to chill with a gf & enjoy the nice restaurants, but not for punting

Each to their own…. No full on party town, but a pleasant, low paced place to hang out for a few days, as I have done several times over the years.

I like how this city has evolved, it is one of the rare tourist cities in Thailand that has evolved well compared to before covid. On the other hand, I advise going there in high season because this low season, it is even deader than in Pattaya since the beginning of June

But yes mainly for non p4p tourism

There is a royal palace/residence there, so they are very careful with the upkeep of the city and surrounds, and keep a close eye on the farang-facing entertainment businesses there.

Also, the crime rate is close to zero

Peaceful place
