In a perfect world no. If it helped get the ball rolling from the current status quo then probably I would yes.

Where would you put the checkpoints? I would have thought pretty difficult to cordon off the nightlife/restaurant area as the reality is it is all over town and with multiple entry points.

Also what happens to people whose condo is deemed to be in the entertainment area, if they haven't been double vaxed will they have to pay 100 baht for a rapid test every time they leave this area and come back?

Good point. Let’s not lose sight of the fact KSR is a very short single street, pedestrianised at night. You are not seeing these checkpoints anywhere else in Bangkok probably because it would be impossible to do so.

And if you test positive there's an ambulance waiting to whisk you away, just like Khaosan Road? Never.
