Briley Chicken and Rice

Can be found on google maps, near rainbow street. Open air restaurant in a single shop house unit. Ordered the namesake dish chicken and rice (khao man gai). Good taste. They have 2 sauces on the table, one spicy and one not spicy. Small plate is 60B and large is 70B. Free water from a pitcher on the table. Think they have some other drinks available. Friendly service. Stopped in a few times now and enjoyed it each time.

Harrys Restaurant

Off beach rd about 250m south of Bangla Rd, on google maps. Friendly and cute staff, feels slightly upscale, but has some good specials during current times. Ordered the chicken fajita for 249B. Was served bread with butter while waiting. Not a classic presentation with a hot sizzling dish, but good food and enough to fill me without being completely stuffed. Served on the side were 4 small bowls with: salsa, guacamole, shredded cheese, sour cream.

Both indoor and outdoor seating.

Savoey Seafood, on Beach just a few minutes from Bangla.  They even had a 10% covid discount at the time, even when not many other places were open.  I went for steamed crab and returned for prawns and asparagus.

Wabi Sabi Japanese Restaurant:

A small restaurant on Beach Rd., I believe it is part of Baan Laimai hotel. Good location, good food, reasonable price and excellent service. It is kind of small-ish place so 1 night we did have to wait a few minutes for a table. Don't forget to share with your tg the Japanese style bingsu there for dessert. We went there 3 time in a week while staying at the Holiday Inn Resort, which is just a few minutes walk away.
