Disregarding a thread, without insult to Poster

I vaguely remember from past that there was a way to keep a thread from showing up in your list (without insult to originator).

Is there a way to do this now?

The tidal to this thread has a Big Mistake In It!

I had Mint to say "Without an insult to the Poster"

Can the tidal be change please?

Currently there is not.

There used to be but it disappeared during an Upgrade.

Requests have been made to re-instate 'Ignore This Topic'.

Yes, as Mr Edge says, there used to be but now there isn't. It's probably the feature I miss the most, though through self-retraining I always think two or three times before I ever commit to making an initial post in a thread.

'Is this a thread I really want to see in my default view for the rest of time?' Usually the answer is no. 🙂 Having the option to ignore threads removed in the upgrade has done good things for my self-restraint, but I still miss being able to correct the lapse of judgement when I mistakenly post in some totally inane thread (unless it's my own inane thread).

I have changed the title.

Ignore Topic is an external plugin - not currently compatible with the forum, if it changes we will happily put it back. Ive said this countless times guys. IF it becomes compatible, it will work again.

Yes, I loved this feature because there are popular threads on PA that I have zero interest in.

It was nice to "ignore" the thread and never see it pop up as a new thread I have not read.

I had inquired about this before with a DM to @whitespider but was told it is not a feature now.

There is a popular thread that has almost turned into what would be better being a LINE Group and I would love to just ignore it but cannot.

I have actually blocked a few BM's just to avoid seeing some of the threads pop up over and over.

Yes it was a good plug-in I miss it too. But it’s history so let’s leave it please. As my last post says, if it becomes compatible again it will work again.

Not getting that first screen using Chrome on Android.

I have actually ignored 100's of threads that have I have zero interest in.

One thing though, is I tried to "Ignore User"  "The Pattaya News" however their threads continue to show up.

Unsure if this is because they are connected to PA or if there is just a bug in the system.

I really wish they had one thread and added to it with each news items instead of adding dozens of threads daily.

The TPN posts are a paid "news feed", they are not human beings posted. Its just something you have to live with I'm afraid.

They tend to post 5/6 a day on average so Im not sure where you get "dozens" from.

Cant be too difficult to just not open a post surely?
