Holiday visa for GF when I live and work here in Thailand

I have been living in the LOS for the past 5 years and I plan to go on holiday to the UK in May and ideally I would like take the GF, I have seen the paperwork required for the GF which I think I have most of it covered. But I am looking for what paperwork I need to supply myself, I work for a company here in BKK. I have salary slips, my work permit, my savings showing my salary entering my bank account but does anyone else have experience with what further paperwork I may require? eg do I need a letter from employer

I have no home in the UK and consider Thailand my home and we only plan to go and see my family and friends and for most of the time I will stay with my parents. Any advice would be appreciated on what I need to state for my accomadation in the UK?

Thanks

I'd assume that as it's your parents house, they would have to write a letter of support that you two will be staying with them for the duration. If you live/work full time in Thailand, I'd think it would be easier to get the visa for you GF as she has more reason NOT to stay in the UK past the visa date.

Same situation as me although I'd only been living/working in Thailand for 2 years. I provided a copy of my employment contract and a letter from my employer, together with a letter from my mum in the UK confirming we'd be staying with her. My TGF didn't have a job or any savings, but she got the visitor's visa without needing an interview.

They do not interview for tourist visa applications these days.

Thank you all for your advice, its been a great help. I think I have everthing now that as been currently suggested, but last weekend a friend of mine told me I need to provide proof that I am divorced. The marriage to my Thai wife was registered at the embassy in Bangkok more than 11 years ago, I currently have our thai divorce papers from about 7 years ago when we divorced at the Amphur. Do I need to submit with the application my divorce paper? As nothing in the VAF1 form mentions about my personal marital status as the sponsor. Although for my GF marital status is mentioned in the application form, therefore she can declare living with me as un married partner. Any advice would be appreciated.

I wouldn't even mention anything about previous your partners. I think you need to keep in mind that it is her that is applying for the visa and not you. You only come into the picture to show that she has a source of funds while she is there and (in your case) as a possible reason for her to leave the country.

I suspect that you are the UK. I am from Australia and live in Thailand similar to you. However, I have to leave to go to work in another part of Asia. The last time my GF got a visa for Australia we didn't even tell them where we would be staying. I don't think that it is that important unless your income level is very low. I don't know how that question is phrased but it might be a good place to highlight that you are not a resident of the UK.
