if the jomtien project goes as well as the pattaya effort it will be worth it. i thought the pattaya effort would end in abject failure. it did not. there is still noticeable erosion following heavy monsoon rains but the depth of the  beach has held u way better than i ha expected.

I agree the new Pattaya beach turned out pretty good....But the Jomtien beach is longer than Pattaya beach......The ocean gets deeper MUCH faster than Pattaya.....They are going to have to move a absolutely humongous massive amount of sand to extend the Jomtien beach....I see this project going on for years...

Pattaya beach is also sheltered better from side shore currents. It'll be interesting to see how they protect the Jomtien beach from those currents, especially when there are strong northwesterly winds.

Yea this too...

Honestly Jomtien is not really in need of a extension...Its in pretty good shape along the whole length.......

Jomtien beach already gets deep pretty fast, with a extension I think you will go from the beach to over your head in water almost immediately, not like the very shallow Pattaya beach....
