Vundofix not working

BSJ

Recommended Posts

Hi folks, I am looking for an answer about getting rid of a pesky Virumonde (Vundo) virus that is in my other desktop. Spybot can't shift it. It see's it and says it removed it, but it doesn't/can't. Vundofix can't get it either.

Anyone got a solution?

Have you tried Avast Antivirus? It is free and has a deep scan function where it will shut your computer down, restart it and then perform the scan before windows starts... it takes a few hours to do. It removed a few Trojans that I was really struggling to remove from my laptop a while ago.

I'm not the best person to ask but this is what i'd do. Hope this helps.

Thanks Inter, I got onto a site (411-spyware.com) which shows how to delete the problem files.

That's my 'If I got some spare time' job for tomorrow!

I used the info on 411-spyware.com about a week ago and fixed a computer

Remove it in safe mode and all files related to it, download hijackthis.

Hi Tang, I think I will give Hijackthis a try. I remove it and 10 seconds later it's back! A persistent little bastard isn't it.
