Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul

I'm surprised that Paul lasted that long, but he does seem to be hugging Mayweather way too much.

Ya think if Floyd knocked him out right away there would still be a market for this garbage?

One guy spent his lifetime becoming a world champion and the other is some youtube goofball.

I’m surprised the fight even went ahead. Someone like Logan Paul hasn’t earned his honour in the ring to even stand next to Mayweather, let alone be mentioned in the same sentence. Fights like that lower the standard of professional boxing, damn shame.

I don't think it was a sanctioned bout for a title, As Floyd has said he just fights for money now.

If the promoters can make a few dollars out of it then all good, just a novelty bout really.

That’s true, it isn’t a sanctioned fight but it is representative of the current climate with a generation of YouTube nobody’s thinking they’re somebody’s.

Fair call promoters do just that, promote and make a few bucks. Floyd should also know better, he can only come out looking worse.

I think a mod should move this post from the sports section to the funnies. :D

Hahaha.

As with P4P, of course it's all about money.

From the New York Times website:

"Both fighters assuredly took home millions of dollars from Sunday night’s fight, but exactly how many millions of dollars is unknown . . .  One website has written, without citing any sources, that Mayweather was guaranteed $10 million and 50 percent of the pay-per-view buys, while Paul was guaranteed $250,000 and 10 percent of the pay-per-view buys. "

Actually, I kind of like the idea of celebrity boxing.  It's more fun to watch than regular boxing, knowing not much damage is done to the brains of the boxers.

I can hardly wait for the next fight for famous retired boxers to make more millions:

Floyd Mayweather vs Mike Tyson!
