Videogame venue in Pattaya ?

Just idly wondering if Pattaya currently has a good-quality air-conditioned videogame venue, with decent PCs and screens? Golf and pool are not really my thing. Aiming to be there early April 09.

i know there is a game room by one of the major movie cinema.. (major) i think it was called. major cinema...but its more like a bigbox game.. u know with the joystick and crap. and some ball shooting stuff .

if you want game rooms with pc and such. my best guess is to ask ANY thai kid that you see while in pattaya( just say ( "ha-ung video game u nai"." where is the game room").. THEY will know for sure.. i know there is shit load of this type of game room in bkk. huge!!!!.. but not seen so many in patt.. but for sure i know there is some.. thinking of it now i think there is one by tukcom.. good luck...

The cops have been busy busting them latley as they use only copy licenses.

The local operators cant seem to figure a way around that (like buying licenses) so they seem to be less conspicuous.

YOu may want to consider buying titles here if you are into gaming.

You can buy LEGITIMATE licensed copies of most games for 400 to 600 baht. The book is in Thai but the game and installation is in English. These titles are "For sale in Thailand ONLY". So as you bought them here its legal. Its NOT legal to resell them off shore.

It is better to light even one candle than to live in fear of the dark.

There are a ton of them. You'll see them packed with kids at all hours of the night playing the latest PS3 and XBox360 games. The ones I've seen have flat panel TVs 32" or smaller. There are also web cafes that have PC games.

Thanks for the advice, guys. I just fancied the idea of catching up on any important emails half-way through the holiday, and then recovering my spirits with a few hours of online Unreal Tournament :)
