Woman comes “back from the dead” at the Bangkok Hospital Pattaya

Journalists were called to the Bangkok Hospital Pattaya on Friday to report on a case where a woman was allegedly misdiagnosed as being deceased by a Doctor at the Hospital. We were called by Khun Sompon aged 60 who explained to us that his wife, Khun Nutcharee aged 57 had collapsed inside a Beauty Salon on 24th February. She was rushed to the Bangkok Hospital Pattaya where doctors had to perform CPR on her to bring her back to life. She was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit where here condition began to improve. Khun Sompon was told that he could go home and he did so. However late on Wednesday Night, he received a call stating that his wife had passed away. He rushed to the Hospital and was taken to see his wife who was covered with a white sheet. The family was preparing to take the body to a local Temple; however a passing doctor, Dr Prinya, a Cardiology expert working at the Heart Center was passing through the corridor when he noticed the family. Remarkably he spotted signs of life from under the sheet, 4 hours after she was declared dead and immediately rushed the woman back to ICU. She was given CPR for a second time and a regular heat beat was found. Khun Nutcharee remains in ICU at this time, however doctors cannot find any signs of Brain activity. According to Dr. Prinya her notes indicated she was suffering from an irregular heart beat, however he saw no signs of that condition. He also would not comment on her original diagnosis from the Doctor who declared her deceased. For now the family is just relieved they have Khun Nutcharee back for now. Cases such as these are common around the world and one possible explanation is that the woman did indeed have a faint pulse and shallow respiration which may not have been evident during examination, but without a comment from the Hospital this is only speculation.
