Hi guys,

 

I hope to be making my first trip to Pattaya (Finally !!!) ... in April ...

 

Since it will be my first trip and i'm hoping to to get a little sun away from dreary old Ireland ... Hoping to get something that resembles a colour ...

 

What can i expect around this time of year?

 

Maybe some more experienced BM's can give me a idea of what to expect ...

If you aren't real careful what you can expect is to spend 3 days of your vacation suffering with a miserable sunburn. Be careful.

Thanks for the replies ...

 

As a side note ... can anyone give any recommedations on products they have used that they have found good for protection (from the sun :) ) in Pattaya?

 

Or perhaps something that would combat the bugs and the sun ...

 

Have very light skin and prone to sunburn ...

 

Also ... What is the times for Daylight at this time of year in Patts?

Sunrise and sunset - 06:30 AM and 06:30 PM . Twilight is much shorter than teh higher latitudes.

 

Go into any of teh "brand name" pharmacies like booths or teh pharmacies in teh supermarkets and they will have a plethora of products. Nivea brand tends to be fairly popular and has high SPF ratings. Remember that the SPF rating deteriorates in as little as 60 minutes with a lot of sweat, and 90 minutes for most people. Keep up the "slip slop slap",

 

Foor insects look for any product containing DEET. You may even find a combination of SPF and deet.

It is better to light even one candle than to live in fear of the dark.

Sunset is pretty early in the evening ... with the way i imagine my trip going ... maybe i will not be seeing to much daylight hours :)

 

I did want to maybe get a little warmth and sunshine into the bones ... but the thoughts of being in Insomnia and 4:00 am does not match well with this plan :Drunk_Party:
