Messi to Manchester

....City unfortunately.

So sky sports reporting that after a conversation with Pep, Messi has told Barcelona that he will be joining City.

Tonight there is an exclusion zone around the nou camp as the club are bracing themselves for a riot.

Barcelona will make it as difficult as possible but it looks like Messi will be a Manchester City player very soon, forget that he's 33, he's still at the top of his game.

As a football fan it will be fantastic to see him in the PL, As a Utd fan it hammers home the realisation of just how far behind we are.

So what are your predictions?

Goals this season?

& City's league position?

I unfortunately am going for City to win the league, & Messi to score 40+ in all competitions.

They'll make back any expenses on shirt sales rapido. Imagine the value to a messi fan, of which there are millions, of a shirt with messi on the back..that isn't a barca shirt. Aguero already relinquished the no 10 shirt..apparently he has dropped the 10 from his instagram name..now just kunaguero.

Yes but still it's impossible as Mess's contract was expired and it will be big legal battle before he moves to Manchester City who already have FFP problems and just seen their ban overturn so it is quite difficult for Manchester City too as they need to offload some players to make balance.

The Contract will be the big problem is he a free agent or was May the only month he could exercise this clause.

Sad thing after a life time at Barcelona it could end in a Messi court case & many more cases suing & other such stuff.

Massive problems at Barca & just a few years ago that were the best team on the planet by a mile.

There recruitment in the last 2 or 3 seasons has not worked out & as Lionel Messi has 2 seasons at his prime he clearly has his head in a spin.

Sad really but that's the power of football & its super stars.

Just been announced that he's stopping at Barcelona for next season.

Apparently as he didn't exercise his right to leave for free in June he can't go unless his  ludicrous buyout clause (about £600mil)  is met which of course it won't be.

He will though be free to sign a pre contract in January, so could still be heading to City but a season later than anticipated.

I read when he announced to his family they were moving from Barcelona to Manchester..his wife and kids spontaneously burst out weeping and begging to stay.
