Havnt seen much sign of property dropping. There seem to be some very low priced specials NEW to the market, targeting teh bottom end. BUT that is general market survey. There could be gems hiding away.

 

The general attitude in Thailand is "its going to be real pot luck to sell it in a tough market, so there's no advantage in waiting for pot luck at half price" the last recession didn't bring much in the way of specials at all.

 

The other issue working against price reductions this time, is that, The European currencies are WAY down against the baht - so any one selling today at what they bought for 12 months ago is already 30 to 40% down. As the recession bites in Europe you may find bargains later in the year, with people who are desperate enough to take a 60% loss in there currency terms.

It seems to me that the British pound has taken a big hit but not the Euro.
