Guys I have crossed this before a few times.

 

Almost everyone joining this board, from Scotland is being listed in the right hand info bar as:

Can this be rectified? Its been like this since I joined but must be a simple encoding problem?

When I joined the Saltire was shown as the South Korean flag so to get the right flag you had to pick South Korea as your country. You'd have to speak to the mods to get it changed

And I guess its just not going to happen then :(

 

So everyone from Scotland is now South Korean :(

When I look at the country flags I assume that is the nationality of the person making the post. I look at the "From" as where that person is residing at present. Maybe it would be easier to change the "From" to "Present Location". The country flag should represent your nationalilty. In my case, I'm American but have been living/working in South Korea for the past 15 years. I put down in my profile the city and country I'm residing at for "Your Location" but it shows up as "From" in the left column of the post.

I think you misunderstood mate. Its nothing to do with the posts, but in the profile. Look at my profile and in the left margin it states I am from South Korea
