Championship Play-Offs & Champions League on Thai TV?

Does anybody know if the Championship Play-offs semis & final will be on Thai TV, and if so on what channels?

Similarly, will the Champions League & Europa League?

A friend is likely to be in his AQA hotel for at least some of these so his options are limited.

Thanks.

Tell him to buy himself a cheap top box Android and install one of the IPTV options plenty around for a cheap monthly fee. Alternatively he can download on to IPad.

Will get all TV options for Sky and BT and more.

Just example below.

Oh and also plenty of porn for the self help option whilst quarantined I don’t think the local TF will get past the front door.

He’s not particularly tech savvy and won’t want to faff around with all that - which is why I asked about Thai TV. He’ll have Netflix provided by the hotel for normal tv. He will have a laptop but no sure there’s an easy way using that.

If he got it set up in the uk by someone it’s easy even for the most IT illiterate.

Only have to know how to log in, the IPad or tablet option probably easier.

In the hotel highly likely they will have some sort of cable tv with access for Champions league but for play offs maybe a stretch I have seen championship football on some channels in the past.

I still think the IPTV option is the better one though.

He’s not in the U.K. and is unlikely to be able to find someone where he is to set anything up for him. I appreciate the suggestion but it won’t suit him. He’s leaving a country for good after working there a long time so he’s got to take everything with him. He’s not going to carry anything extra, however small.

It’s a decent hotel so is likely to have fairly good cable. Just hoping the games are on a Thai channel.

Argh ok not in the UK misunderstood that but anyway another option is someone like you could get it set up for him here and get it dropped at the hotel reception and get it to him that way. Then no need to carry extra stuff from wherever.

I don’t think there would be any restrictions on receiving it I think I read at these quarantine places people can order food from outside such as Grab etc.

There is a team on here who offer these packages for expats and the beauty of that would be he can take it with him once out of quarantine to the next place. Maybe worth giving them a message to if they can help.

The only potential issue could be in these hotels the WiFi is a bit weak and these things need a good connection.

The rules I’ve seen for AQA don’t allow food deliveries. I believe items can be given to reception to pass on so if he’s stuck it’s possible his daughter would be able to sort something out for him re. Box as she’s in Bangkok.

I still haven’t had an answer to my main question though: are the games on Thai tv and, if so, which channels? Was hoping someone would know.

From what I remember on normal Thai TV occasionally you’d find football on Channel 3 5 or 7 especially Champions league I do also recall seeing some championship games on there but few and far between.

As a last resort with a bit of patience to get there a regular website I’ve used for years is Warpfootball but it’s in Thai you have to go through the links to find one that works but guaranteed to have the games on 100%.

Thanks. I’ll see what he ends up with. He’d really like to watch the cricket as well - and that certainly won’t be on Thai tv.

I’ve checked the hotel he’s using and they have large screen Smart TVs fixed to the wall. I’m not sure he’d be able to plug a box in to the tv?? Whether any service is available on a Smart TV that would work, I don’t know.

Yes if he has the box preloaded up with an IPTV and for sure would get the Cricket from SKY on it. Even can get Eastenders whatever strangely enough by chance yesterday I started watching Countdown not seen that since 20 years with Magnus and Carol.tgat new bird is pretty fit Rachel.

Seriously it all sounds complicated but it’s not and works a treat.

Basically my lad set up the box sent it over from the UK by the Post office took nearly 3 weeks I plugged it in he talked me through it and 10 minutes it was off and running. Whilst it was on the way I used my IPad which for me was ok so actually don’t need a box or on the other hand you could if you have mind to you can connect your IPad to the Smart TV I’m sure in a decent hotel they’ll have some young geek who can set it up in 5 minutes for him.

One thing I don’t miss about the UK TV is the shitty adverts every 10 minutes does your head in.

I use Sky+, record everything and watch most things like that or on catch-up. FF through adverts then. Only exception is sport.

Yes that’s right if you are an avid TV watcher Doing catch up is a good option fortunately I’m not after many years out of the uk got out of the TV habit about 15 years ago. Nowadays the last thing I do is turn the TV on unlike years ago it was on morning noon and night.

To be honest I only watch the Premier League football and occasionally Netflix.
