Even when they are homeless they are dressed smartly and polite..compare to your western counterpart in Thailand!  A bit of a trim and he'll back at his office desk in downtown Tokyo, in time for morning stretches and latte!

That's very true. When I was in Tokyo there was quite a few homeless people about as I stayed near a park. They never bothered anyone, normally i would never give money to beggers but I regularly gave them money in Tokyo. At first one particular guy seemed quite surprised, he spoke no english, i had very few words in japanese but we seemed to strike up a mutual human understanding over the course of a couple of weeks. He was always in and around the same spot too.

Osaka and other airports are closed.  I would say he will have to fly home via Taiwan or something as all Bangkok direct flights are unavailable until end of June.

Come back to Japan and get your 30000 baht handout!
