One positive of the recent WS electrical fire is they've removed most of the rats nest of wires.

yesterday there were 2 enormous  piles of burnt wire either side of stones house. most of the huge numbers of wire you see hanging around are old and unused but until there is an event like this they are just left in place as it's too much work to sort out the duff ones.

yesterday the electricity guys were out in force sorting out and removing old wiring or at least some of it
