I don't really understand why thailand talks of a rainy season.  The article says:

"There will be more rain at the end of May but no rain from late June into July".

How can you have a rainy season with no rain ?

In my experience, Pattaya has 2 or 3 periods during the year where it rains annoyingly too often.  These periods last about 2-3 weeks. Quiet short.  One in October/November. Maybe another one about now. You get caught out and run to 7-11 for a mac or to shelter.  

But its too variable and short lived to call it a season.  I may be wrong, generally the weather is pleasing to me.
