Some of the masks I've seen people wearing are so porous, they prevent nothing !

I can't see mask wearing going away anytime soon, it's slowly becoming the cultural norm in a lot of Asian countries.

Similar to the logic behind wearing certain helmets when riding motorcycles.   They only protect against getting a fine.
