15 day visa for land crossings

I heard that there are new restrictions to visas crossing the thai border via land. Now reduced to 15 days. by air still 30 days. Not sure if this is old news or a rumor. I was planning on the ol visa run but this puts a spanner in the works. does anyone know what the deal is?

yes 15 days on land crossing and air 30 days,i had to do 2 runs pain really,i will get a visa before i go next time

No, it is NOT true.

 

If you have a visa it doesn't matter if you come in by land or air.

 

The 15 day for land entry is for people that DO NOT have a visa.
