I’ve been living in Pattaya for one year and really got into running.  Pattaya has a number of 10Ks and of course the marathon.  There is another 10K coming up in 2 weeks.  I did a trail race at Khao Mai Keaw Khao just outside of Patts.  The most gonzo race I did was up in Chiangmai.  A 30 Km trail race with 2,300M of climbing.

There are a few websites that list running events.  Runlah and Teelakow are helpful.  Most trail races offer 10, 25/30, 50, and 80/100Km distances.  I am signed up for a 25K on Koh Sumui in May called the Monkey Trail.  Overall it’s a good excuse to keep in shape and push yourself physically and mentally.  And see some great views.  Most of the entry fees are cheap compared to racing back in the states.  The biggest expense is just getting there and dealing with transportation.

I was really happy to see so many events in Thailand.
