Honda LPGA Cancelled ?

Harve

Recommended Posts

According to the management  at Siam CC the LPGA has cancelled the Honda scheduled for end of this month due to health concerns. The LPGA has also cancelled the following weeks HSBC tournament in Singapore.  There is no news about it on the LPGA website so I guess its official when that drops. If it is indeed the case will be a huge hit in the towns businesses as think what you may of the tournament itself is does bring some money into the town at a time when it needs it most.

Sponsors & some VIP entrance thru IMG who run the tournament.  They have the large sponsors set up & a stand around the 18th green so there will be a number of invitees there but no general public.

the sponsors tent/paviliion looks to be the largest it has ever been. so maybe they just going to crowd them all in there. for sure there will be no social distancing lol. shame will be interseting to see if there are spectators in singapore the week before. not sure if this is a thai govt mandate or if it is from IMG/ LPGA .

"We continue to work closely with relevant authorities in Singapore to stage the 2022 HSBC Women’s World Championship in accordance with prevailing safe management measures. With Singapore wide event attendance restrictions still in place, tickets will not be sold this year"
