GREAT IDEA!!!  A wider Jomtien Beach would be fantastic.  There are a number of events on Jomtien Beach all year long - making the sand area wider will be a public benefit!

There are some toilets located in small white painted buildings near the 'Dongtan Pattaya Beach' sign by the Police Box now - they were locked up for the longest time and thus: unusable.  I hope Jomtien Beach sprinkles some public toilets along the beachfront with a few showers as part of the beach widening project.  I feel that doing so, the infrastructure would be happily accepted by the public even if the 'Powers that be' charged a few baht for use of random toilets AND outdoor showers (To rinse off after a dip in the Ocean.) at intervals down Jomtien Beach Road.  I hope the project goes all the way to the rocky point at the end of the new pathway that starts at the foot of Pratamnak Hill Soi 5.
