I thought I would have a read, not expecting anything too interesting.  Except this time, GOLD :

Officers went to the hotel today to follow-up on the report and what they had discovered but found a surprise…. his male friend, whose name has been withheld due to an active case and a Thai woman. Mr. Alyaqoub was not present at the time.

They were found with four methamphetamine pills, two ecstasy pills and one gram of crystal methamphetamine in the hotel room. The Thai woman and the Kuwaiti man were arrested.

Hahah, do cops just snoop around in a victim’s hotel room or do these people just answer the door with it all laid out?

I am not sure if this is the norm in Pattaya but I find the swift action of the police to locate and charge locals somewhat comforting. Most third world destination spots always come with an inherent travel risk and crimes are typically met with an indifferent  police inquiry.
