Ae & Ek Steak & Bakery - Wilaiwan Resort Sukhumvit soi 81

Thai-run Ae & Ek has two locations in Pattaya - this one just opposite Pattaya Tai on Sukhumvit,  down soi 81 in the Wilaiwan resort. It is very busy especially on weekends with Bangkok Thais. Thai hybrid steaks are getting better. Farang establishments find it hard to compete (see menu prices). The second restaurant is down soi Siam Country. This report is a few months old, but I’ll post another from a few days ago later...

Sirloin steak, 195฿. Pork chop, 150฿. Five NZ mussels, 175฿. Restaurant full. Hardly surprising really. 

Second visit in a week to the Sukhumvit soi 81 Ae & Ek Steakhouse location. Quick service, decent quality, very good coffee. Heavens opened so fish missed out on their 10฿ feed. 

Would do well in town you would think. But then again, the owners fill the place up with Thai customers, so why bother fighting over the dwindling Westerner trade.

Went to ae @ek and as usual the food is great and prices are very reasonable, bit out of the core Pattaya area but easy enough to get to. Had chicken over cream spinach, my 3year old had the steak, my wife had the softshell crab salad and we shared a margarita pizza which was great and the pic doesn't do justice..

Sadly, this is the problem for many visitors to Pattaya.  It isn't easy to get out there.

Baht bus to the top of Tai, then a short stroll... but know what you mean.
