Honey Inn, Soi Honey

Review based on two weeks stay from 3rd september-16th september 2019. Room was no. 405 facing the back of the building (towards LK Metro)

Location: 9/10

2 minutes walk to LK Metro. Very easy access to Made in Thailand and the fairly new bar complex of Tree Town. Maybe 15 minutes of walk to get to either Soi 6 or Walking Street. When I look at my step counter I noticed that it looked like this hotel is smack middle between Soi 6 and Walking Street. And super easy access to the baht busses as well. Only get 9 because of a bit too much hassle from the massage shops surrounding the hotels entrance.

Staff: 8/10

Super nice and good service. Had some issues with my aircon during the trip they fixed it 3 (!) times - last time I stayed in the room to make sure that they actually did the fix completely.

Room: 6/10

Bed way too hard for me and my back. Showing signs of age here and there. But otherwise a fairly good room with good functional tv. Not much room for your stuff with the lack of closet space. NIce little balcony with room for two chairs and a little table.

Bathroom: 6/10

No problem with hot water - works perfectly. Water pressure is fairly ok but not superstrong. Not so much space for placing your stuff. NOTE: They do provide shower gel and shampoo on daily basis but no soap for handwashing provided!!!!

Noise: 3/10

Up until about 2 AM this is a very noisy place to live. If you want to get to sleep earlier than that be aware that even earplugs will not do you much good (Yes, I tried that!). Better to let the tv run on a music channel. Other than that it was fairly ok. Did hear some fucking from the other rooms but not much. Only had one issue from room 305 one night where a farang and a thai girl got into a serious fight with screaming and yelling of "I will kill you" (from the farang).

Internet: 10/10

This was a pleasant surprise. The internet work very good.

Breakfast: -/10

Because of the noise from LK Metro I usually stayed up way too late every day. So in addition I also woke up too late and never got to taste the breakfast buffet.

Prize: 6/10

I think that I overpaid with about 900 baht per night.

Overall: 5/10

The maddresses in the room and the noise are the two things that really impact my grade here.

Will I return: This is the first hotel ever were I for sure will say NO. Not worth it despite the great location.

Please also note that this chain of hotels will not allow you to bring back 18-19 year olds to your room. Something I didn't realize before I arrived. I missed out of that during my research.

Stay in a room at the front (Soi Honey) next time - it's only a few dollars more.

But most likely with the same type of maddresses .... and then it will be a no-go for me. Had way too much back pain during my entire trip.

Honey Inn is no longer part of the SP Group (247 Boutique, Aqua, Honey massage, Honey Grand Massage) and has been acquired by a bald Indian guy.

Bawdy by name, Bawdy by nature.

I thought I’d revive an old thread rather than start a new one.

This is a review of Honey Inn, Soi Honey for August 2023

The hotel is quite a way up Soi Honey…about 3/4 from 2nd road; fairly close to Soi Buakhao

I arrived at 12.20 pm   Check in is 14.00   They were happy to keep my bags but I asked to wait and use their wifi … no problem, but a room key appeared inside 5 minutes   Happy days    Off to the 5th floor .. one elevator, hope it’s reliable.  Reception took a 500bt deposit

The room is decent with a reasonably recent update but in an old style of that makes sense   Big bed, plenty of storage

Balcony is small but fine

Safe is huge

No pesky signs saying don’t flush paper in the bathroom and it has a thermostat hot water rather than piped.  Not a fan.

My room on the top floor (5) faces Honey.   I expect the other side that backs on to LK Metro would be noisy

The pool, which I haven’t visited yet is across the road.  Take a ticket from reception to give them.  I’ll do some pics tomorrow.

This is it on top of the building across the road

I thought the exact opposite. That would be one cozy looking prison. Certainly not Baltimore.

so the  pool in another hotel?

Yes the pool is in 247 Boutique hotel

They used to be a part of the same group, back then they charged 100b to use the pool. Now that another group owns honey inn and honey Boutique the pool use is include in the room fee.

Also unfortunately the honey hive the restaurant at honey inn has also been sold and it's an Indian restaurant now.

The pool at 247 is on the roof, to the 7th floor in the elevator then up 1 flight of stairs.

The direct pool area is in the sun all day but there is a large shaded area behind it. The pool is small but nice infinity style that over looks treetown.

Pool hours 8am to 8pm

Bussy time between 3 and 6

Nice review, would be good to know the price also

At the moment it’s about 840baht, it’s alway nice to know the prices in the reviews, as August is off season and prices are roughly the same thought out.

brilliant review.

Thanks all for the feedback.
My price this week is AUD 52

The pool is directly across Soi Honey as @Franko2018 said. Also the gym.  Get a ticket from Honey Inn.  Hand to reception at 24/7 and get a towel.  7 th floor by lift and a flight of stairs to the roof.    Pool was deserted at 2 pm today

Open area looks back at Honey Inn

Nice hotel stayed earlier there, during pre covid phase. One of their receptionist became freelancer lately and that’s why I remember this hotel more.

Quick question does Honey Inn and Honey Boutique hotels allow to bring back  18 and 19 year olds now. OP mentions that it wasnt allowed in 2019 so can someone who has stayed at these places recently confirm on this..

Also how is the breakfast as breakfast is included in the price.

Im thinking of booking this either Honey Inn or Honey Boutique for my mid Feb trip just need to confirm on a few things. Location on Soi 11 is best for me as close to everything

24/7 Does.

Was with a tiny girl 18 yrs old from Tree town Slutz and had no issue.

Noise is horrible.
