Telephone Box Bomb Alert

On Monday Morning there was drama on the Sukumvit Road in Na-Jomtien Municipality following the discovery of a suspicious box left in a Phone Box. Police Lieutenant Colonel Grit and a team of officers rushed to the scene and taped-off the area. A Royal Thai Navy Bomb Disposal Unit was called and examined the black box which was weighed-down by a piece of rock. A flashing blue light was seen on the outside of the box and the sound of a ticking clock was heard. Eventually the box was removed and securely opened. No explosive material was found inside the box. Police are now examining CCTV footage as they search for the person or persons responsible for placing the box at the location.
