Khmer G/f needs 30 days in Thailand

Hi,

My UK (Hull) M8, Oscar, will be travelling from Snooky to Pattaya (via bus) in January 2020, accompanied by his Khmer G/F (La)

I know Oscar gets 30 days visa exemption at the border, whilst La gets only 14 days.

Can La somehow extend to 30 days whilst here in Thailand or will they need to purchase a visa whilst in Snooky?

Google gave me the answer really quickly. 

They get 30 days on arrival to begin with.

Khmer girlfriend and talk of getting a visa in Snooky (Sihanouville) definitely sounds like Cambodia.

@swordfisch I'm sorry I wish I knew if and how Cambodians can extend their 14 day visa exempt stamp. Hopefully someone will be along shortly that does.

You’re right, I’m wrong. Cambodia it is.

They get 14 days without a visa and can only extend with 7 days in Jomtien for 1900Bht . You can try to get a tourist visa but they're clamping down on that one as well . My Cambodian girlfriend for 5 years even got denied today after applying to all their rules ... they first take the money though and tell you after . 

Never have been a problem in the last 5 years but they got very tight on Cambodians staying for longer periods in Thailand these days . 

Guess i'm gonna move to Cambodia soon ...
